Swaroop Sampath

Actor, Educator & Advocate


Swaroop Sampat is an acclaimed actor and educationist whose career bridges the worlds of performance and social impact. Crowned Miss India in 1979, she went on to become a household name with her much-loved role in the iconic television series Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi and later appeared in films such as Ki & Ka and Uri: The Surgical Strike. Beyond the screen, she holds a PhD in Education from the University of Worcester, UK, and has worked extensively to integrate drama into classroom teaching, empowering children with creativity and confidence. Swaroop has collaborated with the Ministry of Education and NGOs across India, advocating for inclusive, child-centered learning. At the confluence of art and education, she continues to inspire audiences and learners alike with her passion for storytelling, both on stage and in life.
