Rochelle Potkar

Poet, Author & Scriptwriter

Rochelle Potkar is an award-winning poet and fiction writer whose work explores intimacy, displacement, and the complexities of modern life. She is the author of poetry collections Paper Asylum and Four Degrees of Separation, and her short story collection The Arithmetic of Breasts and Other Stories was longlisted for the Frank O’Connor International Short Story Award. Recognized for her mastery of the haibun form, she has represented India at international poetry festivals and residencies, bringing Indian writing into dialogue with global literary traditions. Beyond the page, Rochelle is also a scriptwriter and cultural curator, frequently conducting workshops on creative writing and poetic form. Her work—lyrical, experimental, and deeply human—continues to push the boundaries of genre and language.
