Dr. D. Y. Chandrachud is an eminent Indian jurist who served as the 50th Chief Justice of India (CJI) from November 9, 2022, to November 10, 2024. He is no longer the incumbent Chief Justice, having been succeeded by Justice Sanjiv Khanna.
